Chicago's favorite transit payment system is looking to expand the way it frustrates riders by rolling out a new smartphone app, and it needs your help.

Ventra is looking for 100 brave souls to test its new software, which will allow users to purchase CTA, Metra and Pace tickets from the comfort of their phones. The app hopes to be a big step in unifying the three transportation agencies under a single payment system, which was supposed to happen by the beginning of 2015.

The last time Ventra asked for feedback from riders, Twitter users promptly trolled the company in a campaign that accomplished nothing other than making Chicago laugh.
