The electrical fire yesterday afternoon at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, which forced the cancellation of the Hamburg Ballet's two-night engagement, will also affect performances of Alonzo King LINES Ballet and Chicago Opera Theater’s Queenie Pie, as well as the Joffrey Academy of Dance Choreographers of Color Awards, as the theater will remain closed for repairs through March 6.

Harris Theater officials say they're working on a plan to reschedule said performances; Music of the Baroque's March 3 program, "Handel and Bach—Italian Style," is seeking an alternate venue as it can't be rescheduled. A spokesperson for the ten-year-old venue at the north end of Millennium Park said that patrons will be contacted by a theater representative with further information.
