Description
Dir. Jean-Luc Godard. 1965. 110mins. In French with subtitles. Jean-Paul Belmondo and Anna Karina trade la vie bourgeoise for open highways. This is a bold pause between Godard's early experiments and his later more intellectually demanding style. That's not to say this is dumb; it's quite smart and pretty demanding, too, but it's also a movie about love, or the death of love as an ideal. We'll stop babbling if you'll go see it.
