    Description
See how the first cities known to man emerged from the needs of nomadic groups trying to establish a place to call home. Graphics, pottery and royal engravings on clay, stone and metal show how people developed writing and used it as a means to govern their cities. Learn about Mesopotamian home life and the central role of the palace and the temple in the society. Don't leave without seeing the 40-ton human-headed winged bull gypsum sculpture from Khorsabad.
