Description

They are indeed back: Brian Dickie and Chicago Opera Theater open their 34th season with a universally adored Mozart opera presented in sleek, contemporary fashion. Jane Glover, no stranger to Harris Theater, conducts as director Diane Paulus transforms the old Spanish setting into a moody nightclub (attempting to relate to younger audiences in the process). In his American debut, baritone Iain Paterson lights it up as the lead role's mack daddy.
