Description
KT Tunstall lucked out. Her second album, Drastic Fantastic, wasn't as successful (musically or commercially) as her breakthrough debut, Eye to the Telescope. But the latter was momentous enough for the former to coast and allow Tunstall to retain her Hot New Artist credentials. We need more mainstream artists with her original swagger, though complacency waits in the periphery. On stage, her trick of building tracks, alone, from the floor up dazzles more than any hook.
