Description
Last fall, after being dropped from Island records after a Pynchon-referencing, Dave Eggers–designed album flopped, Thrice released The Alchemy Index Vols. I & II, the first two parts of its quadruple disc concept-epic focusing on the four elements. Now comes the earth and air installments, The Alchemy Index Vols. III & IV. It's all a bit pretentious coming from what is otherwise just another emo band, but at least the group pushed its thoughts beyond break-up text messages from girls, even if the results aren't nearly as progressive as was likely intended.
