Jake Malooley
OUT THERE WRITER
Before becoming Out There's resident mischief-maker about town, Malooley wet his feet (not to mention his whistle) as an Eat Out-Drink Up scribe, reviewing restaurants and bars and informing readers of dining events and openings. The position allowed him to serve as editorial assistant of the Time Out Chicago Eating & Drinking Guide. Aside from contributing to several sections of Time Out (including Features, Art & Design, Books, Clubs, Comedy, Kids, Music and Theatre), Malooley has also written cover stories for Newcity and Innerview, a monthly music magazine where he also served as promotions director. He holds a degree in communications from DePaul University.
