Christopher Piatt
THEATER EDITOR
COVERS:Previews and reviews of touring companies, local institutions and fringe theater.
Piatt has written theater reviews and features for the Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Reader, the Sondheim Review and PISTIL magazine. He has contributed to Chicago Public Radio and, for two years, served as the cohost of The Partly Dave Show, a monthly cabaret of spoken word and rock at No Exit Cafe in Rogers Park. His writing has been featured on the Chicago e-poets network and in the Hideout's Dollar Store. If you meet him at a party, ask him to do the parlor trick with the beer bottle. You won't regret it.
Ask me about: Why touring musicals can't touch locally produced ones, which storefront theaters have the most user-friendly bathrooms, which late-night play is safest to take your mom to, and how much a rum and Coke costs at the Viaduct Theater.
