Fact: Everything tastes better after midnight. But if you’re like many Chicagoans, you probably wouldn’t know because, until recently, late-night eaters in this town have been stuck with a largely underwhelming set of options. (They went something like this: Avec, Wendy’s, Taco Bell….) Thankfully, the last few months have seen many restaurants lengthening their hours and creating night-owl menus to serve as the evening wears on. There’s not a lot of salad on these menus—and in fact the most common vegetable you’ll find is a potato, fried and topped with cheese. But it’s Chicago, it’s 1am, and you’re being fed at a good restaurant—you’re really going to end your night complaining?
