If there's one thing we want more of in Chicago's food scene it's better access to food trucks, and it sounds like things will be getting better.
A new plan from Mayor Emanuel would create six new spots for food trucks to park in the Loop, bringing the total number of food truck locations up to 36. The new spots would provide access to all the downtown lunchtime workers and the law would allow the trucks to park for two hours per day at these locations:
437 S Columbus Dr
200 S LaSalle St
151 N Franklin St
185 N Upper Columbus Dr
105 E Monroe St
300 S Wabash Ave
In case you want to try lots of food trucks all at once, there are a few upcoming events, starting Monday, when the Food Truck Rally will be held at Daley Plaza starting at 11am. The lineup includes the Fat Shallot, Harold's Chicken and the Cheesie's Truck.
