    Yoplait Light Pumpkin Pie Yogurt

John Colburn: Oh man, don't even try that.

Amy Cavanaugh: There's a heinous aftertaste of fake sugar. And nothing remotely pumpkiny.

Kris Vire: Oh, there's something really sour about this. It is in season for a limited time, perhaps that time has passed.

    Trader Joe's Pumpkin Greek Yogurt

Amy: I normally like Trader Joe's yogurt, but this has no pumpkin flavor. It just tastes like sweet yogurt.

    Yoplait Apple Crisp Yogurt

Amy: Yuck! It tastes like Christmas. But, like, sad Christmas.

Zach Long: It tastes like those caramel apple pops.

    Kris: Like artificial apple flavor.

    Pumpkin Spice Hershey's Kisses

John: It has a weird consistency.

Amy: It tastes like those cinnamon Red Hots.

Zach: It's waxy, like tasting a pumpkin spice candle.

    All: Yes!

    White chocolate candy corn M&Ms

Zach: These have a frosting taste to them.

    Kris: Not bad, just strange.

John: There's frosting in there instead of chocolate.

    Pumpkin spice M&Ms

Amy: They're definitely better than the candy corn ones. Again, no pumpkin flavor and they also smell like cinnamon candy. But at least there's actual chocolate.

John: They taste just like regular M&Ms and then you get the spices at the end.

Erin Delahanty: This tastes like it was sitting with other candy for too long.

    Herr's Pumpkin-Shaped Candy Corn Flavor-Coated Pretzels

Amy: There's nothing candy corn-like. These just taste like white-chocolate covered pretzels. Which I like, by the way.

Kris: If putting orange sprinkles on something makes them Halloween then I guess that works.

    Philadelphia Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese:

    Zach: It tastes like frosting.

Kris: This just tastes like regular cream cheese with brown sugar blended into it.

    Candy Corn Oreos

    Amy: What is that smell?

Zach: Smells like store bought icing in a can.

    John: Tastes like that.

Amy: It doesn't really taste like candy corn and I mean that as a good thing.

Jake Malooley: These really aren't that terrible.

    Pumpkin Spice Coffee-Mate:

Erin: I don't think it tastes like pumpkin, but it tastes like fall.

Amy: It does taste fall-ish. It's really pretty good. I think these creamers add better flavor than flavored coffee.

    Jones Caramel Apple Soda

Amy: I mean, it does taste like caramel apple. Sort of. But I don't know if I want a liquified caramel apple.

    Kris: It smells apple-y.

Zach: I don't know how much caramel flavor it has.

Kris: It's pretty accurate, but I don't know that I want that. It's pure novelty.

    Jones Candy Corn Soda

Amy: You know what it smells like? IRN-BRU. I'm reminded of being drunk in Scotland.

    Zach: Smells like butterscotch.

    Amy: It tastes like butterscotch.

Zach: It tastes like a buttery nipple.

Amy: I'll be honest, it's not bad. But there's nothing remotely candy corn about it.

    Eggo Seasons Pumpkin Spice

    Zach: It tastes like gingerbread.

Amy: It does! These are nice and spicy and I'd definitely eat them again with butter.

Market Pantry Pumpkin Cheesecake Creme Sandwich Cookies

Amy: These aren't bad. They're really sweet.

Erin: They're a little salty too, it's nice.

Amy: It doesn't taste like cheesecake though.

Kris: No, like generic Oreo filling. Still tasty though.

    Edy's Pumpkin Patch Ice Cream - Runner-Up

Amy: It tastes like a frozen pumpkin spice latte!

Zach: It just tastes like that stuff out of the can. Like cold pumpkin filling.

Kris: It's just spice, it's not pumpkin.

    Erin: But it's not bad.

    Kris: No, I'd eat it.

Amy: I'd definitely eat it! I don't eat a lot of ice cream once it gets cold out, but I'd have this again.

    Pumpkin Pie Pop-Tarts - Winner

    Erin: These are surprisingly good!

Amy: It tastes like there's a real layer of pumpkin in there. [Checks ingredients] There is real pumpkin! That's more than we can say for most of the things we tried today. I actually really like this.

Update: We returned to these for breakfast this morning.

Okay, we get it. You love pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks. We can get behind sipping them on occasion, but we're not sure we can get behind the Pumpkin Spice Latte Effect, in which every food you can imagine is doctored up with pumpkin or other fall flavors. So while we've seen pumpkin bagels and such before, this year we started seeing even more ridiculous things. Candy corn M&Ms. Candy apple soda. Pumpkin spice Hershey's Kisses.

We hit Target, Walgreens, Jewel and other stores to find as many seasonal pumpkin, apple and candy corn–inspired items as possible and tried them all in one sugary binge. Here's what we tried, arranged in order from worst to best.
