BEST ANNUAL EVENT FOR FAMILIES Circus in the Parks
Since 2007, Midnight Circus has been performing its quirky, high-energy shows each fall in city parks to raise money for public playlot renovations. To date, thanks to the $15 tickets, the org has collected more than a quarter-million dollars while treating tens of thousands of Chicagoans to high-wire acts, acrobatics, juggling, clowning and more G-rated but funky fun. “Circus in the Parks brings people together in a cool, hip [way],” one reader said. “They are smart, funny and put a smile on anyone’s face!” Visit circusintheparks.org for show dates and locations.
