Few things induce disagreements faster than trying to find a place to eat with our vegan teen, carnivore tween and their celiac little sister. But everybody smiles whenever we head to foodlife—a mall food court we actually hit as a destination. It’s got 14 kitchens to choose from, including salad and juice bars, comfort food and barbecue stations, and ethnic eats such as sushi, tacos and Chinese food. Kids love that they get their own “charge cards” to pay; grown-ups appreciate the reserved tables. The best part: All the food’s made on-site daily, with nary a bomb in the mix.
