Time Out says

For a minute there, Aerosmith seemed to be on the brink of breakup—a permanent vacation, you could say—that would have finally ended a corporatized second-act facsimile of its former self. Alas, none of us get off that easy. If Aerosmith deserves some degree of respect for staging one of the most staggeringly successful comebacks of all time, the past 20 years have been spent degrading its legacy with lame albums larded with bad ballads and pallid imitations of its better years, further hurt by the fact that its members clearly hate one another.
