Riddled with sweeping string arrangements and meticulous counter-melodies, the music of San Fermin is clearly the work of a classical composer. The New York-based band is the brainchild of Ellis Ludwig-Leone, a Yale composition graduate who inserts polyrhythms and motifs into grand indie pop suites. Here, San Fermin is joined by local chamber music group the Fifth House Ensemble, who will augment the band's touring lineup. Saskatchewan singer-songwriter Andy Shauf opens the evening. This show is part of the Tomorrow Never Knows festival.
