As we announced last month, Thalia Hall is finally opening in Pilsen. Today, the music venue launched its website, announcing its inaugural batch of concerts. Panda Bear of Animal Collective is the first artist slated to play at the moment, premiering material from his upcoming album on May 21. DJ, er, Dog Dick opens.

Shawn Colvin and Steve Earle team up for a night of storytelling and song swapping on June 6.

The capacious space comes complete with opera boxes (which can be had for a rather steep price at select shows—$800 for Colvin & Earle) and a balcony, which also runs a little higher in ticket price.

Thalia Hall also houses Dusek's Board and Beer and Punch House, which opened last September. We're glad to hear that punches from Punch House will be available at the bar. They are our favorite drinks in the downstairs space. (Get the gin tea punch, if you can.)
