Yasiin Bey a.k.a. Mos Def

The artist formerly known as Mos Def (and born Dante Terrell Smith) plays a Chicago show. He hasn't released an album since 2009, despite rumours that he's ready to reunite with Talib Kweli for a new album under the pair's Black Star name—as well as early signs of a new project with producer Mannie Fresh—but he's one of the best, with a hefty back catalogue of funk-and-soul-soaked hip-hop anthems to get the place jumping.
