Description
Some cafés are customized for the weary traveler, and this bohemian outpost is spot-on. Imagine a travel bookstore, a tiny clothing and bauble boutique, and a rock-solid vegetarian eatery all rolled up into one global handful. It’s a brilliant hodgepodge of working stiffs, bookish students and colorful artists ordering up the likes of soft toast with fat smears of chèvre and juicy tempeh burgers with tart blue cheese. The extensive menu reads like a round-the-world sampler platter, and the made-for-sharing portions are perfect when eaten while lounging on the Turkish-style pillow seating by the window.
