Description
This sleepy stretch of Hyde Park gains interest from this all-day hookah lounge. By day, the Wi-Fi and extensive list of teas and coffees attract laptop-carrying U. of C. students, but come dusk, older patrons linger over hookahs and small plates until the wee hours. Sandwiches are tasty and cheap (the red pepper and cheese on grilled flatbread is a standout); ditto for the standard but fresh soups (try the tomato bisque) and salads. After a simple meal, settle in for some hookah puffing in enclaves outfitted with cushy pillows, draperies and game tables.
