Burger Boss (CLOSED)

The first city location of Burger Boss (there's one in Elmwood Park) skips the gimmicks (like the ramen and doughnut burgers we've seen lately) and offers simple toppings on brioche buns. Order at the counter, and you'll want to get at least a double patty (a triple is also available) since the single burger gets buried under even the simplest of signature burgers. The classic burger has cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard and mayo, and reminds us why traditional toppings don't need to be fiddled with. Thin, soft fries are served glistening from the fryer, while the vanilla milkshake is texturally spot on (none of this too-thick to drink business).
