This cozy Brighton Park Salvadorean restaurant is our favorite for empanadasde leche (sugary fried plantain pockets stuffed with thick condensed milk), pupusa chicharrones (pork-filled cornmeal pancakes) and chunks of deep-fried yuca. The panes con pavo is also an interesting find: housemade bread smothered with gravy-laden turkey. The back of the menu is saved for Mexican offerings just in case you can’t find Mexican anywhere else in the city.
