Description

A sibling of Outback Steakhouse, Fleming's has a clear agenda: They want to be an upscale, wine-focused steakhouse that doesn't feel like a chain. But despite an impressive wine list (100 wines by the glass), this place is still seriously corporate. The extra-smiley (read: disingenuous) service becomes intrusive around the 20th time somebody asks you how your night is going, and the menu reads like a Best Of compilation of food from the '90s. Worst of all, the steaks are mushy, and the deep-fried mushrooms and chocolate lava cake aren't much better. And that's something even the nicest service can't fix.
