What do Madonna, Oscar De La Hoya and the Mexican National Soccer Team have in common? Their pictures are all posted on the walls of this Humboldt Park taco joint. (We’re not saying they all ate there, but the owners clearly are fans.) This primarily Spanish-speaking restaurant specializes in the authentic street food of Puebla, the central Mexico town credited as the birthplace of mole poblano. Because Puebla has a large concentration of Lebanese immigrants, you’ll find tacos arabes, pork tacos with thick, pitalike wrappers. At Taqueria Puebla, these chipotle-spiked beauties and their friend the cemita milanesa (a breaded pork steak with cheese and avocado on a sesame-studded bun) are among the best of the menu.
