Yes, it’s in Under 55, a corporate cafeteria. And no, we didn’t think there was any good food down there, either. But this new Middle Eastern stand makes its own perfectly spiced beef-and-lamb shawarma and then lets you top it off with your choice of impeccably fresh condiments: uncommonly smooth toum (garlic spread), cooling mint yogurt and a chunky Armenian tomato-and-onion salsa. But get it while you can: The concept of this stand changes every six weeks, so it will soon switch to Indian flavors, then Chinese. (If you get addicted to the shawarma, though, don’t worry—it returns to its Middle Eastern roots every three months.)
