It’s been Middle Eastern joint after Middle Eastern joint in this space, and at the rate they’ve all closed, you’d think restaurateurs would take the hint and try something else. But if ever a place has had a chance of survival, this is it. The service is friendly, the room is warm, and the food has all the simultaneously bright and savory flavors that good Middle Eastern food should have. Of particular note is the lahmajun, the sprightly fattoush salad and the tender chicken shawarma—the kind of dishes that enable a restaurant to stick around.
