Description
Sitting by the windows overlooking the Millennium Park Ice Rink has its pros and cons: Watching flailing skaters is transfixing, but with food this good, you want your attention focused on your meal. The whisper-thin beef carpaccio starter is sprinkled with Parmesan chunks and juicy capers; mango is the perfect foil for the shredded duck in the warm duck salad; and the porcinis encrusting the flatiron steak impart a subtle woody flavor. We can think of no better last meal than the Kobe burger: melted Gorgonzola topping thick-as-your-fist beef between buttery brioche, served with a heap of thin, crispy fries. Skip the defib—strap on some skates to get your heart pumping again.
