Rockin’ Taco (CLOSED)

The young owners of this taco joint have decked their place out like a pothead’s dream basement. Jimi Hendrix posters and the like plaster one wall, graffiti covers another and stupid comedies starring Ryan Reynolds are shown in the corner TV. And the food? It’s all about quelling the munchies. Deep-fried flautas are stuffed with cheesy mashed potatoes; salsa and guacamole come with crisp, still-warm chips; and the tacos come in all the expected variants. They were all perfectly serviceable, but what really stood out for us was the sweet-and-spicy al pastor tofu. We know, we know—it’s like we’re high or something.
