The generic name is hardly promising, but hidden DaVinci Code–like in the logo is the clue that unlocks all the secrets of this small taco stand: the letters “LP.” This is an undercover branch of La Pasadita, Ashland Avenue’s legendary trio of late-night grilled steak taco shrines. And when you taste the freshly charred, subtly spiced carne asada or lengua served simply with cilantro and onion on tacos or rolled in a burrito, you’ll be glad the mini chain has reached this part of town.
