Time Out says

In 1888, Louis Glunz I opened a neighborhood tavern on this Old Town stretch. It closed just before Prohibition, and the space sat vacant for 90 years. Then Louis's granddaughter, Barbara Glunz, and her son, Christopher Donovan, brought it back to life. If only the tale ended there, and not with our recent visit, where we got stuck with an overpriced and watery old fashioned, an hour-long wait for a pretzel and the impression that no one here inherited the gene for managing a bar.
