MIKE LUST, 36, Logan Square

Known for his high kicks and high jinks as singer-guitarist of hyperenergy noiseniks Tight Phantomz, Lust was initiated into the world of rock & roll at age three, when he saw KISS on The Paul Lynde Halloween Special. Lust also runs West Side studio Phantom Manor, where he has recorded bands such as Urge Overkill. His wish list includes some great gift ideas for himself—or your favorite music nerd or musician.

My favorite budget-friendly stocking stuffer is…a Mojo or Spin magazine, $10 and $5 at Barnes & Noble. “Reading magazines is a great way to keep me occupied during down time at the studio.”
