Conrad Chicago (521 N Rush St, 312-726-3860)
Shopaholics will appreciate the location of this 311-room, Hilton-operated player, perched atop the Shops at North Bridge (a.k.a. the Nordstrom mall). Each guest room is decked out with a 42-inch flat-screen TV and a state-of-the-art sound system.
Package
Book a room at the Conrad (through March 31), and you’ll get a room upgrade, free Internet, 10 percent off self-parking and access to an evening wine reception. Plus, your room will include a gratis aqua eye mask, H20 Face Oasis treatments and Sleepyhead Sleep Elixir. Rates start at $185.

Palmer House Hilton (17 E Monroe St, 312-726-7500)
Fun fact: The Palmer House is the longest continuously operating hotel in America. The opulent Beaux Arts lobby certainly has a historic vibe with its museum-worthy frescoes and mural by 19th-century artist Louis Pierre Rigal.
Package
The Just Chillin’ deal (available through March 31) includes an upgrade to the executive-level rooms, 50 percent off self-parking, access to the health club and pool and a 25 percent discount on in-room dining. Rates start at $159.

Public (1301 N State Pkwy, 312-787-3700)
The rooms at Ian Schrager’s overhaul of the Ambassador East Hotel nod to the past with black-and-white photographs of celebrities (think Judy Garland and Eddie Murphy) who’ve visited the hotel. But other than that, the all-white rooms are sleek and modern.
Package
When you book a room at Public this winter, you can take advantage of gratis breakfast for two in the downstairs Pump Room, or have it delivered to your room. Rates start at $150.

Raffaello Hotel (201 E Delaware Pl, 312-943-5000)
Newish rooftop spot Drumbar has turned Raffaello into a hot spot in the evenings and weekends. The rest of the hotel isn’t too shabby, either. European-style rooms feature Egyptian cotton bedding, iPod docks and bathrooms equipped with rainforest showerheads.
Package
The hotel extended its Valentine’s Day packages through the end of the month. This includes the La Grande: a night in Raffaello’s grand executive suite along with Champagne and an open bar for the evening, a Vosges truffle plate and seating at Drumbar’s “nook” table for $1,000.

Sofitel (20 E Chestnut St, 312-324-4000)
We love the prism-shaped design of this 32-story building. And the inside is just as striking: 415 sleekly designed rooms feature spacious marble bathrooms.
Package
As part of the hotel’s Winter Escape package, guests receive a $25 MasterCard gift card (one for each night of the stay) upon checkout. Rates start at $185, and the deal lasts through April 7.

theWit (201 N State St, 312-467-0200)
Right in the heart of the Theater District, this hotel offers rooms with views of the Loop. The hotel features on-site dining, a rooftop bar, a spa and a fitness center.
Package
The Oh L’Amour package (available through February 28) includes a 50-minute Two to Tango Tranquil couples massage in a candlelit treatment room at Spa@theWit. Rates start at $399.
