A Red Orchid Theatre has announced a New York transfer of its 2012 premiere of Brett Neveu's The Opponent, as part of a new ongoing partnership with New York–based Bisno Productions under the all-caps name A RED ORCHID NYC.

Original cast members Guy Van Swearingen and Kamal Angelo Bolden, along with director Karen Kessler, will take Neveu's acclaimed boxing drama to Manhattan's 59E59 Theaters for a limited run, July 31–September 7. The playwright, director and both actors are all members of A Red Orchid's ensemble.

A Red Orchid artistic director Kirsten Fitzgerald described the transfer in a prepared statement as "the first of many" under the new collaboration with Bisno.
