The Run-Away Nun + Looking Past You

Actor-playwright Maggie Shryer, an 85-year-old Chicago native and Northwestern alumna, portrays two intriguing women both live and on film in this twofer program. Shryer performs her one-act solo show The Run-Away Nun, about Katharina Von Bora, the wife of Martin Luther. It's paired with a screening of Jennifer Kramer's short film Looking Past You, in which Shryer plays a woman who uses her "invisibility" as an octogenarian to get away with petty crimes.
