Make way for Big Blue. Next year, Chicago's bike-share program, Divvy, is poised to become North America's largest. Mayor Emanuel announced today that the Chicago Department of Transportation secured a $3 million U.S. Department of Transportation Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality grant that will go toward an additional 75 Divvy stations on top of the 100 already planned for installation. The four-month-old system currently has 300 stations in operation. If Divvy reaches the projected 475 stations next year, it will top New York's 331 Citi Bike stations and Montreal's 434 BIXI bike stations.
