Earth Day 5K Chicago
Celebrate Earth Day with Green Dot Environmental’s 5K run or walk in Humboldt Park followed by a Green Living Expo and farmers' market at the finish line. The race begins at 8am and the expo opens at 9am. Everyone who takes part in the run or walk will receive a free T-shirt and recyclable tote bag—bring it to the expo to hold all your fresh produce. Earth Wine and Fire Festival
Check out the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum (2430 N Cannon Dr) on April 22 to witness musicians, artists, poets, healers and vendors celebrate Earth Day at the Earth Wine and Fire Festival. From 6:30–11:00pm, enjoy food, wine and music while learning about being green. For $25 (kids under 12 are free), you get full access to the museum, an appetizer, dinner and drinks and a whole lot of entertainment; fire spinners, massages and live painting, just to name some of the cool stuff going on. 19th Annual Green & Growing Fair
Take a trip to the Garfield Park Conservatory for its 19th Annual Green & Growing Fair. Take part in gardening workshops and watch demonstrations to start off your growing season right. Relax at the Green Cafe munching on food and listening to live music, place a bid on an "urban garden treasure" or browse through some used gardening books after your garden info sessions. The Museum of Science and Industry unveils its 2011 Smart Home: Green + Wired  on Earth Day, April 22. This year’s exhibit has a new look with the help of Chicago interior furnishing store Scout and technology blog Gizmodo.

Urban Habitat Chicago
Urban Habitat Chicago wants you to learn how you can help Mother Earth! UHC will be hosting Earth Day workshops on Saturday, April 23, at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Take workshops like Organic Gardening or Indoor Air Quality Effects on Health.
