All along Halsted Street, from Belmont to Bradley, the spooks were out in droves last night. Multiple fire-eaters shared street space with an upsetting-looking PeeWee Herman, Abraham Lincoln (carrying puppies—don't ask me why) and one very fabulous spider. The parade also functioned as a costume contest, with prizes for Best Pet Costume, Best Drag Costume, Scariest Adult Costume, Most Original Adult Costume, Best Group or Couple and Audience Choice.
