Thousands of revelers, many clad in green outfits accessorized with green feather boas or shamrock-shaped antennae, lined the banks of the Chicago River this morning to witness the annual ritual of dyeing the river green. That was followed at noon by the St. Patrick's Day Parade, sending Irish step dancers and bagpipe brigades down Columbus Drive alongside the likes of Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Gov. Pat Quinn.
