I have to tell you that if there was a Taste show I wanted to hit this week it was the union of Minneapolis greats Soul Asylum (the band's early Twin/Tone label material destroys its later Top 40-charting fare like "Runaway Train") with Motor City legends Rare Earth (a band so trusted by Motown, it was given its own imprint, Rare Earth) on Saturday evening—I couldn't go as much as it pained me.
