Jul 4 - Aug 5 ‘China’s Growing Sands’: Sean Gallagher Solo Exhibition Cafe Zarah

In April 2009, British photojournalist Sean Gallagher was awarded a travel grant from the prestigious Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting to photograph ‘China’s Growing Sands’, a multi-layered investigation into China’s current battle against desertification.

Travelling 4,000km overland on China’s ‘desertification train’ through Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Gansu and Xinjiang provinces, this will be the first time the images from Gallagher’s journey have been exhibited in Mainland China.
