Nov 7 Philippine fiesta to raise money for orphans, child patients

Experience Philippine-style celebrating at Pista, a charity ball sponsored by Beijing’s Filipino community, on November 7 at Doubletree by Hilton.

Besides dancing and a menu of delectable Filipino dishes, the evening will feature entertainment by Filipino musicians and a top Philippine comedian, who will leave you in stitches.

Exciting raffle prizes, including travel packages, restaurant vouchers and spa treatments, await guests. The ball aims to raise funds to support the work of the Beijing International Committee for Chinese Orphans, which helps congenitally disabled child orphans.

Pista is the second charity ball to be organized by the Filipino community in Beijing, in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy.

In 2007, the group raised 100,000 RMB, which was donated to Chinese children with cerebral palsy through Grace Rehabilitation Training Center.
