This month: Chef confidential...
We may be an authority on where to get the best food in Beijing, but who better to ask for a second opinion than our favourite chefs? This month we pulled eight chefs out of their kitchens and grilled them on where they like to eat on their days off (page 8). While most of their picks are already in our Top 100 listings (understandably), we managed to pry from them their favourite hidden gems. Coca-Cola marinated chicken wings, anyone?
With the increasingly cold weather limiting everyone's outdoor plans, we've also rounded up a list of brilliant indoor activities (page 44) such as gokarting, rock climbing and laser tag, all of which are guaranteed to get you working up a sweat. We also went singing and compiled a rundown of the best karaoke parlours in the city (page 12) so that you can warm up those vocal chords, too. Who says that winter in Beijing can't be fun? Flip the page and live it up.
