Suzie Wong's Café

Decked out in Suzie Wong’s 1930 Shanghai look, this new café scores high on ambiance but falls flat when it comes to food. A short list of expensive sandwiches, salads and small dishes like dumplings is on offer along with equally pricey wine, coffee and tea. After a considerable wait, a club sandwich (40RMB) arrives cold and a tuna salad (30RMB) contains plentiful leaves but little else except for a drizzle of Thousand Island dressing. Forget the food and linger over a cappuccino (30RMB).
