Sugar Bar

So much sunshine floods through Sugar Bar’s glass walls and ceiling that you may need sunglasses and sunscreen all year round.

A short menu of salads and sandwiches should satisfy anyone looking for a quick, light bite yet the space is one to linger in over a cappuccino (28RMB) or a slice of apple tart (28RMB), as marvellous to eat as it is to look at.

The Sugar Bar salad (28RMB), served in a deep glass bowl with a green tinted rim, is a pleasing medley of leaves tossed with ripe tomatoes and chunks of apples and oranges, but a thick layer of tomato sauce in a salami and melted cheese sandwich (38RMB) makes it taste too much like pizza.

After 8pm desserts are half-price. WiFi connection available.
