M)phosis

M)phosis is an oasis of style in the otherwise uninspiring new Raffles City complex. The Singaporean brand sells chic but fun clothes – we particularly dig the ’50s pedal pushers (249RMB), flouncy ’50s skirts (also 249RMB) and harem pants (309RMB).

The stock is colour coded, with many items available in a variety of colours, though the bulk is monochrome.

A prim, belted Roland Mouret-style dress (339RMB) would look great with an oversized tuxedo jacket (519RMB); or team the skinny capris (309RMB)with the loose tiered sleeveless shirt (399RMB).

Come Friday night, if you’re sporting one of the black-and-white striped body-con dresses (399RMB) or pink ’80s mini dresses (289RMB), you’ll be the coolest cat in town.

The only drawback is the unadventurous accessories line, but with standalones like these you won’t need them.
