Evisu

Championed by jet-setting hipsters and DJs the world over and instantly recognisable by the ‘seagull' scrawled on the rear pockets of each pair, Evisu jeans have been a cult brand for several years now. Made from heavy, premium-quality selvedge denim (the sort of denim that looks ‘raw' and doesn't unravel) and produced on 29-inch wide vintage looms, the Japanese brand has never scrimped on quality. Perhaps that's why a pair will you back 3,500RMB if you're a guy and 2,799RMB if you're of the fairer sex. However, if you do decide to invest in a pair, expect them to last a long, long time. The vintage style store (littered with superhero action figures and leather sofas more befitting of a bespoke tailor's shop) also sells a range of too-cool-for-school t-shirts (759RMB), sunglasses (1,950RMB) and men's sneakers (1,090RMB).
