Beijing Police Museum

Though any reference to the sensitive subject of modern-day police corruption and keeping law and order during the Cultural Revolution are (unsurprisingly) absent, there are still a good number of crime scene exhibits and ‘cultural relics’ to make this lesser-known museum well worth a visit. Built on the site of what was once the National City Bank of New York, the Police Museum displays over 1,500 artefacts. Some of the more memorable include a cracked skull, Qing dynasty torture and execution instruments, declassified investigation material and interactive shooting games for children.
