"For me iconic Antonioni films were La Notte,L'Aventura and L'Eclisse. He never bettered these. His English excursions are too shallow and rootless although The Passenger is a return to form. Blow Up is much ado about nothing. Vanessa Redgrave gives the film a dignity and character but Hemmings is just doing his own Michael Sheen impersonation of La Bailey. The feel of swinging(so dated) London has a certain period charm. It's a bit like imagining Bergman filming outside of Sweden: it wouldn't work!"
