"It's hard to imagine a film that revolves around the publication of a poem. But this is a superb piece of cinematography. I was enthralled by James Franco's delivery of the poem, as well as his acting - he really is very talented. The clever editing and cutting to Ginsberg's real life events, and the masterly animation really made this movie. I found the incidental music great - it just carried everything along so well. It's extremely rare I'd award a film 5 stars ("American Splendor", "The Hurt Locker", "Croupier", "A Single Man" ), but as I gave The King's Speech 4 stars, this certainly deserves 5. It'd be nice to think this is remembered for Oscar nominations next year. As rarely as it happens, I will definitely buy this on DVD. Excellent. 5 stars."
