"A rather mundane fantasy but pompous nevertheless. The French can't have ever seen a Play for Today. Towards the end of her life, Hilary Clinton marries a wizened Charlie Drake. She has a couple of strokes and he kills her. It's really only what you'd expect. There are, though, some heartbreaking sequences of a ravenous pigeon, pecking away at parquet for its sustenance. Who'd have thought that pine would be a foodstuff of birds but perhaps this well-fed fellow was a wood pigeon?"
